Ameth Diallo is currently a PhD student in African and Comparative
Literature at Université Gaston Berger where he is also completing a two-year
training in interpretation and translation in the MaTIC (Master en Traduction
et Interprétation de Conférences). In 2012, he was awarded Kala de Sanar,
ranking at the top of his promotion at the Master 2 graduation at the English
Department. Since 2014, he started delivering an English course at the
Department of Communication as an assistant in the same university. That year,
he ventured on a project of agriculture based in the Senegalese River Valley
which earned the prize “Jeunes Agriculteurs” from Synapse Center with a grant
from USAID. Mr Diallo firmly believes that entrepreneurship is part of what
will uplift the vulnerable people. In order to extend his experience in the
Valley, he is now working on an ambitious project he intends to implement in
his home village in Kaolack. Furthermore, he is a pioneering member of the
environmental group of his institution, “UGB Verte”.
