The promotion continues

On 3rd June, Guinea Bissau’s National TV invited the 2016 YALI Fellows to participate in the TV show untitled “10 to 12”, a weekly two hours program that deals with social, cultural and entertainment issues. The first 30 minutes of conversation was about the Mandela Washington Fellowship.

“What are the objectives of this program? It’s main activities? How did you get select to join this? What are the selection criteria? Who can apply? How did you get information on this? What are you going to share with your colleagues? What is your expectation? How many fellows are going this year? Is this the last MWF?” – lot’s of questions were asked. After the interview, fellows received people’s reactions. Some were asking questions about the selection process and criteria.

After the interview, fellows met young potential leaders that are interested to participate in next year’s program.

“We will be available after coming back from USA to spread out around the country this program and encourage the Guinean youth to apply” said Mr. Abdallah Bary, a 2016 YALI Fellow.
